Apply for the 2019 Funding Opportunity.
The NextGen Philanthropy 2019 Cohort will award a total of two grants of $10,000 each to two organizations offering serving the Central Valley.
Applications are due no later than March 1st at 3 p.m. Applications submitted after this deadline will not be considered. We encourage you to submit your application before the deadline in case you need help with any of the submission requirements.

Information Required in the Application
In the online application, you will be asked to provide responses to each of the questions below. We recommend that you answer the questions in a word or google doc. Once ready to submit, you can copy and paste the responses. Once you submit you will be able to come back and edit your submission via a link that will be email to you in your confirmation email.
- Contact Information: Provide contact information for the application and for your nonprofit/cbo (i.e. name, title, phone number, and email address for the primary contact) and information on your nonprofit or initiative (i.e. the name of organization/group, complete address, EIN number, and mission and vision).
- Amount Available: Each of the two NextGen Committees will award one (1) grant of $10,000 dollars.
- Your Story: Tell us the story of your organization. What is the history of your efforts? How and why did it start? What are your current activities? What accomplishments have you seen as a result of your work so far?
- Neighborhood Focus: In which neighborhood(s), groups, or communities do you focus your efforts? Describe the specific issues that the proposed grant will help the organization address.
- Objectives and Key Results: What are the outcomes you expect from your support of these communities? Example: To [outcome] support families to get back on their feet, as measured by [key result(s)] increasing participants knowledge of the job search and application process; participants will be able to secure 2-3 interviews for positions using our tools and resources.
- Activities – Description of the specific activities that the proposed grant will fund.
- Timeline – Describe the projected timeline if funded
- Staffing – Described the proposed staffing for the proposed work
- Community Partnerships: Who else is involved in the community working on these issues? Have you developed partnerships with those organizations? How do you currently work with or inform their efforts?
- Commitment to Authenticity: How do the board, staff, volunteers, and residents involved with the organization authentically reflect diverse viewpoints, backgrounds, and experiences in your efforts?

Please provide a completed budget for how you plan to spend the grant award. If you are leveraging funding from other funders or donors, please denote the amount and source in your budget.
